Have u ever watch "Before Sunrise" (1995)? well, it's my favorite movie of all time. it is played by Ethan Hawke (Jesse) and Julie Delpy (Celine). the story follows two strangers, a young American and a young French woman who meet at the train and then decide to spend a night at Vienna and getting to know each other until the time before sunrise.
the movie's really simple. not much happens, with minimalist plot. but their perspectives of life and their conversation about everything makes it even more romantic.
well, here's my favorite part of the movie. when they two r walking alongside the canal, they are approached by a beggar who offers to write them a poem with a word of their choice in it. Jesse & Celine choose "milkshake"!
here's the poem. it is originally written by David Jewell for the movie.
it is called Delusion Angel.
"..Daydream delusion, limousine eyelash
Oh baby with your pretty face, drop a tear in my wineglass
Look at those big eyes , See what you mean to me
Sweet-cakes and milkshakes..
I'm a delusion angel
I'm a fantasy parade
I want you to know what I think , don't want you to guess anymore
You have no idea where I came from
We have no idea where we're going
Lodged in life, like branches in a river
Flowing downstream , Caught in the current
I carry you, you'll carry me...
That's how it could be.
Don't you know me? don't you know me by now?"
Sweet, isn't it?
